Fever Crumb - Philip Reeve Eh. Kind of interesting to start, but then I got bored and annoyed with the dialect of the future. I don't want to read any words with an at symbol in it. Not even people in the future are going to start using that as an "a" in their names. And yeah, people might drop a letter or two, but it's going going to become the official name, complete with apostrophe. If we're calling the embankment "bankment" now, we're not going to assume there's an apostrophe in there, so just drop it, Reeve. It's pretentious and hard to read.

And since I'm thinking of it, why are people in Reeve's future so, for lack of a better word, simple? They call us the ancient civilization, but somehow they all reverted back to Oliver Twist's time? Okay...
