A Discovery of Witches - Deborah Harkness I should have hated this book. It was very detailed, slow-moving and annoying at times. The main character was being stalked, her life in complete danger, and we have pages and pages of unimportant filler. Chapters about horseback riding, eating, tea, rowing... and somehow I still really enjoyed it.
I only wish the book wasn't the start of a trilogy; now I have to wait years for the next installment. It had better be good.
